About Us

The original trip across the Rubicon for what was to become the Auburn Jeep Club was held in 1950. It was such a success that a year later the guys decided to form the club and it has been going strong ever since. We are a 40 member club that performs volunteer services around the community as well as participating in parades, county fairs, and other charity events. We specialize in our pancake breakfast at events such as Little League opening day ceremonies, Mothers Day gatherings, and many different fund raisers inwhich we provide all the equipment and manpower . We also donate to special causes like those that protect trails that we all enjoy.
One of our biggest events is our annual Crab feed. This happens every January at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. The club spends all day preparing an all you can eat feast including Shrimp Cocktail, Clam Chowder, Shrimp Salad, and or course CRAB!!! It's all made from scratch using top secret recipes from one of our own members. Check our calendar for information on our next feast.
Since we hold an annual invitational trip on the Rubicon, as well as other monthly excursions, the club decided to buy property near Loon Lake. This comes in handy as a base of operations and main camp area for our members and guests.
We operate the club as most any organized entity by having by-laws, holding monthly meetings, electing officials and a board of directors, and voting on various issues. It works most of the time!!
